Korean spinach side dish

This is a very simple, easy and quick Korean side dish. It is not only that but it’s also very yummy and healthy. For one it is full of iron, the spinach. On the other hand the raw garlic is  good for killing bad bacteria. Do try it out….

1 bunch of spinach, cleaned and washed

1 garlic clove, minced

1 spring onion, chopped

1½ -2 teaspoon soy sauce

1½ – 2 teaspoon sesame oil

2 teaspoon sesame seeds


Boil 8 of water in a large pot.

Blanch the spinach for 30 seconds to a minute, stirring with a wooden spoon.

Strain the spinach and rinse in cold water a couple of times to remove any residual dirt.

Squeeze out excess water and cut into 3 sections.

Mix the spinach with garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds in a mixing bowl by hand.

Transfer to a plate or bowl and serve as a side with other mains and steam rice.
